Advice for Writing LaTeX Documents (github.com/dspinellis)

This whole latex thing seems very bizarre now that I've backed off a bit.

As a student I was "recruited" into using latex, all the stuff about separating content and typesetting, pain free pictures, bibliography...

I have tried and liked it for a while. or so I thought. until my roommate back then was telling me how his supervisor was teaching him "tricks" of some very common word processor, not gonna mention it not to sound like a shill.

anyhow, then i tried doing the same and realized, literally everything i -personally- could do with latex, i could also do with this WYSIWYG word processor!

everything including section numbering, auto formatting, pictures no longer move around, learned to use tabs, bibliography is a breeze once you use something like jabref, ... it was liberating

i believe latex has its uses though, maybe if one had a template or someone with very specific needs. but for me, i started seeing it as a massive pain in the back.

maybe I am getting old lol

I use MonsterWriter
